Mark Steinbach Mis-Ms

Mark Steinbach has a diverse range of work experience in the field of information technology. Mark is currently employed as the Director of Network and Security at IDEX Corporation since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Infrastructure, Security, and IT Services at Mizkan America from March 2021 to June 2022, where they led a project involving the migration from SAP to Azure.

Before Mizkan America, Mark held the position of IT Infrastructure Manager at Scholle IPN from May 2012 to March 2021. In this role, they oversaw the integrity and operation of communication technologies and served as the team lead for the IT Mini Business. Mark also played a key role in several infrastructure projects, including firewall upgrades and the deployment of O365 hybrid and SfB as a global phone service. Additionally, they led the design of a co-located data center and coordinated the relocation of resources from local sites to this centralized facility.

Prior to Scholle IPN, Mark worked as a Senior Network Administrator at Terlato Wine Group from November 2009 to May 2012. Mark'sresponsibilities included maintaining the network infrastructure between six sites over an MPLS network and managing 50 servers across the organization. Mark successfully executed a project to migrate from Qwest to XO communications, improving data bandwidth, reducing voice network costs, and enhancing network reliability.

Mark's earlier experiences include roles as a Network Administrator III at Conferenceplus from January 2006 to November 2009 and as a Senior Network Administrator at Reedy Industries from September 2003 to January 2006. During their tenure at Conferenceplus, they supervised other network administrators and managed servers across multiple locations. Mark also planned and executed a migration project from a clustered Domino 6.5x e-mail infrastructure to Exchange 2007. At Reedy Industries, Mark was responsible for ensuring the uptime of network resources 24/7 and maintaining 12 Dell servers.

Mark began their career as a Network Analyst at American Hotel Register, where they worked from June 1999 to August 2003.

Throughout their career, Mark Steinbach has gained extensive experience in network administration, infrastructure management, security, and cloud migration.

Mark Steinbach completed their education with a Master of Science in Management Information Systems (MS/MIS) from Dominican University from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northeastern Illinois University from 1993 to 1996. Mark completed their high school education at St Patrick High School from 1986 to 1990. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained several certifications including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2022, a Data Center Certified Associate from the College of Data Centers by Schneider Electric in 2014-2015, and various certifications in networking and security from Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Scrum Alliance, and SolarWinds.
