Silvia Arbe Montanes

Silvia Arbe Montanes, CIPPE, LL.M, serves as the Director and Global Chief Privacy Officer at IDEXX since August 2016, where responsibilities include leading the Global Privacy Center of Excellence and reporting to the Global Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to IDEXX, Silvia held various roles at Heerema Marine Contractors from January 2011 to July 2015, culminating in the position of Senior Legal Counsel - Compliance, where Silvia led the compliance team and developed global compliance strategies. Additionally, Silvia began her career at LyondellBasell as a Contract/Business Support Analyst from October 2005 to December 2010, managing contracts for European and global clients. Academically, Silvia holds an LL.M in Business, Corporate and Maritime Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam, along with a law degree from Universidad de Zaragoza.
