Martin Smith

Martin Smith is an accomplished executive in the technology and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as EVP & Chief Technology Officer at IDEXX since August 2021. Prior roles include Chief Technology Officer at Cytiva and Pall Corporation, where extensive oversight of technology and product development took place. Smith has held senior leadership positions in R&D, managing large teams and spearheading innovation strategies across multiple companies, including IntelligentMDx and Whatman GE. An academic background includes a PhD in Molecular Biology from UCL, an MSc in Biotechnology from the University of Reading, and a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of Essex.
