Luciana Moreira

Luciana Moreira has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and analytical development fields. Luciana most recently worked as a Principal Scientific Associate at Idorsia Pharmaceuticals Ltd, where they conducted development and implementation of analytical methods using HPLC and UHPLC. Luciana also performed laboratory work to support drug substances and drug products activities and wrote and reviewed analytical documentation.

Prior to that, Luciana worked as a Researcher at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, focusing on cardiovascular pharmacology and phytochemistry. Luciana developed and validated bioanalytical methods and quantified compounds in various samples. Luciana also had experience working in a sterile environment for molecular biology.

Before their research role, Luciana held positions at PharmaScience Indústria Farmacêutica, Cifarma Científica Farmacêutica LTDA., and Laboratório Cristália. At these companies, they were responsible for the development and validation of analytical methods for pharmaceutical products, analysis of dissolution profiles, and documentation of stability studies. Luciana also performed quality assurance activities and participated in internal audits.

Luciana Moreira completed their education with a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais from 2015 to 2019. Luciana also obtained a Licentiate degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Universidade de Franca in 2017. Prior to that, they earned a M.Sc. in Biological Sciences with a focus on Pharmacology from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais from 2013 to 2015. Finally, they obtained their B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences specializing in Drugs and Medicines (Industrial Pharmacy) from Universidade Federal de Alfenas from 2001 to 2005.
