Luca Avolio has over 15 years of professional experience in the field of software development and project management. Luca began their career at TRS Spa as a Software Analyst from 2004 to 2005. Luca then worked at Selex-SI as a Software developer and integrator for the Military project NUM, where they were responsible for building software components for navigation algorithms used by the CMS of the Aircraft carrier Cavour from 2006 to 2007.

In 2010, they joined TRS S.p.A. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they improved the maintainability, stability, and performance of the IDU subsystem software of IC4 Train for the Denmark railways. Luca also served as a Software Project Manager, leading a team of developers in building a diagnostic traction system for the Roman Metro. Luca managed the maintenance service for the VTS system of Italy, Poland, and Turkey, supporting customers in resolving malfunctions. Additionally, they were a Software Team Leader and Project Manager for various programs, including the EUCCIS programme and the CNM of the Italian SENECA.

From 2015 to 2018, Avolio worked at TRS SISTEMI S.R.L., where they held positions such as Software Team Leader/Solution Architect and Project Manager/Solution Architect. Luca was responsible for designing the middleware component of a marine drone's command and control system and for managing a team of developers. Luca continued their career at IDS Ingegneria Dei Sistemi S.pA. in 2018, where they served as a Technical Development Manager, overseeing the adaptation and evolution of the AMHS product for the aviation industry.

Throughout their career, Avolio has demonstrated expertise in software development, solution architecture, project management, and technical leadership.

Luca Avolio started their education in 1991 at I.T.I.S. G. Ferraris Napoli, where they completed their studies in an unspecified field without obtaining a degree. In 1997, they attended the Università degli Studi di Salerno and earned a university degree in Computer Science, completing their studies in 2003.

Additionally, Luca Avolio obtained certifications in their field. In 2012, they earned a certification as a COSMIC Software Functional Size Measurer from the Common Software Measurement International Consortium. In 2013, they obtained a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
