Carolyn Gass

Carolyn Gass is currently the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at IEC Holden. Carolyn has been with the company since July 2013 and in their current role for over 8 years. Carolyn is a member of the Senior Executive Team and has full accountability across the Finance, Treasury, Legal, Contract, HR and IT departments. Carolyn has a direct team of 5 and an indirect team of 12.

In their role, Carolyn provides strategic advice, legal guidance and financial leadership to IEC Holden group of companies. Carolyn also oversees the development of global, local and departmental budgets, forecasts, models and reports. Additionally, Carolyn leads due diligence for potential M&A, joint venture and expansion decisions.

During their time at IEC Holden, Carolyn has secured multi-million-dollar financing for global expansion, which consists of facilities in Plattsburgh, USA, Montreal, Canada, Fresnillo, Mexico and Johannesburg, South Africa. Carolyn has prepared a portfolio of business cases (>7), which influenced the decision making processes - including the solution to utilize Mexico facility for a low-cost option for a joint venture opportunity. Carolyn also project managed the implementation of an ERP (Epicor) which included full business gap analysis, setting up processes and procedures. Lastly, they played a key leadership role in the establishment of a greenfield manufacturing facility in South Africa.

In addition to their work at IEC Holden, Carolyn has achieved several personal milestones.

Carolyn Gass has a Graduate Certificate in Managerial Accounting from Concordia University, an MBA in Accounting from Université du Québec en Outaouais, a BComm in Accounting from Concordia University, and a D.E.C in Commerce from CEGEP - John Abbott College. Carolyn also has a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Finance|Business from Université du Québec en Outaouais and a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Business Administration, Management and Operations from University of Quebec. Carolyn is certified by the Ordre des CPA du Québec as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

They are on a team with and Dean Barton - COO. Their manager is Rob Briscoe, President & CEO.
