Aude Billard

Aude G. Billard is a prominent academic and leader in robotics and automation, currently serving as President of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society since 2020, with prior roles including President Elect and Vice President for Publication Activities. Aude is an Associate Dean for Education and Full Professor at EPFL, where career progression included tenure as Associate Professor. Aude's contributions extend to politics as a Member of Parliament in the Grand Conseil du canton de Vaud since 2022 and entrepreneurship as a co-founder of AICA, Pomelo sàrl, and DIDEL SA. Aude has also been a Research Council Member for the SNSF Swiss National Science Foundation and served in municipal government as a Conseillere Communale in Lausanne. Educational achievements include a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Physics from EPFL. Aude has previously held roles as Adjunct Faculty and Research Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California and was a Board Member for the Fondation Women in Science and Engineering.
