Tharaka Munasinghe is an experienced professional currently serving as the Governance Initiative Lead and a member of the Operations Task Force at IEEE Young Professionals since April 2023. Ltd. Munasinghe contributed as an Article Writer for Medium and held several editorial roles within IEEE-affiliated organizations. Munasinghe holds a BSc (Hons) in Information Technology and Management from the University of Moratuwa and a Post Graduate Diploma in IT from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

Formally introduced in Sri Lanka on the 14th of November 2003, IEEE Sri Lanka Section (member of IEEE Region 10) is growing and expanding at an accelerated pace since then, achieving immense success. The vibrant community of the IEEE Sri Lanka Section comprises of University academic staff members, industry professionals and university students across the country. Sri Lanka section has been established to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity and for the advancement of technical professionalism. Our aim is to be the platform of the global technical community for the aspiring tech professionals of tomorrow.
