Francesco Dell'Olio

Francesco Dell'Olio is a prominent researcher and academic currently serving as Principal Investigator at Micro Nano Sensor Group and Associate Professor at Politecnico di Bari since December 2022. Dell'Olio is recognized as a Senior Member of both OPTICA and IEEE, having been involved with these organizations since 2022. A long-standing member of the Società Italiana di Elettronica since 2007, Dell'Olio previously held positions at Politecnico di Bari as an Assistant Professor, Post Doctoral researcher, and PhD student, where notable work included the theoretical demonstration of a new InP-based fully integrated passive optical gyro for space applications. An early career as an Analyst at Accenture included consulting for Telecom Italia's Evolution project. Dell'Olio earned a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Politecnico di Bari in 2005.
