Prof. Dr. Ahmad Osman

Prof. Dr. Ahmad Osman currently serves as the Director of the Deutsch-Französisches Hochschulinstitut (DFHI) since October 2019 and is a Professor at Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft des Saarlandes, focusing on applied AI, computer vision, and deep learning, with main research areas in various industries, including aerospace and automotive. Additionally, Ahmad Osman holds the position of Adjunct Professor at Université Laval, is a Senior Member of IEEE, and has contributed significantly to Fraunhofer IZFP as Head of Department for Algorithms and Signal Processing. Previous roles include Chief Advisor for Industrie 4.0 at UNIDO and Chairman of the AI Group at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Zerstörungsfreie Prüfung (DGZfP). Ahmad Osman's educational background includes a Dr.-Ing. in Informatik and Elektrotechnik from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.
