Ravinder S. Dahiya

Ravinder S. Dahiya is a Professor at Northeastern University since January 2023 and has an extensive academic and leadership background in the field of electronics and nanoengineering. Active within the IEEE Sensors Council since 2016, Ravinder served as Past President, President, President Elect, and Distinguished Lecturer. Ravinder is also the Director-Elect for IEEE Board of Directors for the term 2024-2026. Prior to current positions, Ravinder held several academic roles, including Professor of Electronics and Nanoengineering at the University of Glasgow from August 2013 to October 2022 and EPSRC Research Fellow during the same period. Additionally, Ravinder contributed as a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge and served as the Satish Dhawan Visiting Chair Professor at the Indian Institute of Science from April 2020 to March 2022. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Humanoid Technologies from the Italian Institute of Technology and the University of Genoa, alongside a Master's degree in Control Engineering and Instrumentation from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Kurukshetra University.
