Mr. Miller has more than 40 years of experience in the design and installation of industrial ventilation and mechanical equipment, including facility upgrades, air pollution control, water pollution control, furnaces, and process systems. His experience includes project management as well as the mechanical and control aspects of the design.

Mr. Miller’s responsibilities on industrial projects include developing the design basis and identifying solutions with regard to compliance with regulations, performance criteria, available space, capital costs, and operating expenses. He is responsible for scheduling, costing, and coordinating design drawing and specification preparation among the various discipline groups.

He is also responsible for the mechanical engineering aspects of these projects, including safety controls, fan, pump, and pollution control device selection, pipe and duct sizing, and system layout. He joined IES in 1992.
