Lucas Kowalczyk has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Lucas started their career as a Quantitative Modeling & Analysis Intern at Sandia National Laboratories in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Simulation Products Intern at Boeing Satellite Systems while also serving as a Teaching Assistant at Columbia University Computer Science Department. Lucas continued their work at Columbia University as a Cryptography Lab Research Assistant from May 2014 to December 2018. In 2015, Lucas was a Cryptography Research Intern at Bell Labs. From May 2016 to August 2018, they worked as a Visiting Researcher at Ecole normale supérieure's Département d'Informatique. Lucas joined IEX in May 2017 as a Quantitative Researcher and eventually became the Head of Quantitative Research in October 2020.
Lucas Kowalczyk obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Columbia Engineering, graduating in 2014. Lucas then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Columbia Engineering, completing it in 2015. Subsequently, Lucas obtained a PhD in Computer Science from Columbia University in 2018.
