Mr. Rajesh Ranjan is a 1984 batch Indian Police Service (IPS)Officer with 36 years of experience in Law enforcement, Forensic Investigations, Financial, and cross-border offense investigations. Mr. Rajesh Ranjan has done his Masters in English Literature and has undergone specialized training in Finance from IIM Kolkata and certification in ‘Ethics and Governance’ from UC Berkeley, San Francisco. Mr. Ranjan has also undergone training in ‘Fraud Risk Assessment’ and ‘Investigation into fraud and corruption’ from MIS Training Institute London and has also done training on ‘Regulation of Securities Market’ from the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

During his career as an IPS officer, Mr. Rajesh Ranjan has served several institutions like CBI, Interpol General Secretariat, Lyon, France, BSF and CISF. He has also served as Chief Vigilance Officer in Gail India Ltd. and was responsible for internal vigilance, Corporate Governance, and as CVO advised the Audit Committee on matters pertaining to Governance and Vigilance.

Mr. Rajesh Ranjan is widely traveled, has lectured extensively and conducted numerous training sessions on behalf of Interpol, IMF, US Department of Treasury, and the European Commission on financial investigations, money laundering and terrorism financing. Mr. Ranjan has been awarded with Police Medal for Meritorious Services in the year 2000 and has also been awarded President’s Police Medal for distinguished services in the year 2008.

Mr. Rajesh Ranjan is the Chairperson of the Audit Committee and Policyholders’ Protection Committee and a member of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company.
