Ana Kitanovic

Senior Principal Scientist at IFM Therapeutics

Ana Kitanovic has over 19 years of work experience. Ana began their career in 2001 as a Scientist at the Institute for Pharmacy and Molecular Biotechnology, Uni-Heidelberg, where they also completed their PhD studies in the same role. Her thesis was titled "Regulation of FBP1 expression and changes in glucose metabolism are crucial for an appropriate response to DNA damage and aging in S. cerevisiae". In 2012, they moved to High-Content Screening HCS Facility, Deutsches Zentrum für Neurodegenerative Erkrankungen (DZNE) as a Screening and Automation Scientist. Ana currently serves as a Principal Scientist at IFM Therapeutics since 2016.

Ana Kitanovic obtained their Doctor of Natural Sciences from the University of Heidelberg in 2006, with a field of study in Natural Sciences. Previously, they graduated with a degree in Biology from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematic at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia in 2000. In 2016, they earned a certificate in Introduction to Genomic Technologies from Johns Hopkins University on Coursera.
