Nabil Sultan

Nabil Sultan currently serves as the Head of the Department of Physical Resources and Deep-Sea Ecosystems at Ifremer, a position held since July 2000, where research focuses on deep-sea ecosystems, marine geosciences, renewable marine energies, and innovative ocean observation. Prior to Ifremer, Nabil Sultan worked as a researcher and held the role of Head of the Marine Geoscience Research Unit. Nabil Sultan began the career at Fugro as a design engineer and researcher, and previously conducted research at Ecole nationale des ponts et chaussées. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Geotechnical Engineering from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, an HDR accreditation to supervise research from Université de Perpignan, a Master's degree in Solid and Structure Mechanics, and a Civil Engineering degree from Lebanese University.
