Marisa L. McMichael

Marisa L. McMichael has a diverse range of work experience. In 2023, they worked as a Health and Wellness Mentor at the Georgia Tech EXCEL Program, where they supported an undergraduate first-year student with disabilities in developing independent living, leadership, and social skills. Marisa L. also served as the Vice President of Events at IfYoureReadingThis.org, organizing events and maintaining communication with the organization's executives. Furthermore, they were the Communications Lead and Events Lead at the Yellow Jacket Space Program, where they contributed to the organization's social media growth and initiated collaboration with other campus organizations. In addition, Marisa worked as a Researcher at the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory, focusing on modeling the biophilic environment of a building under a faculty member's guidance. Prior to that, they were a Student Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, providing tutoring and mentoring to first-year Global Leadership students and managing office and food inventory. Marisa L. also conducted research as a member of the Georgia Tech Space Systems Design Laboratory. Marisa gained industry experience as a Summer Intern at Cisco in both 2020 and 2021. Additionally, they worked as an actor for Casting TaylorMade and Tammy Smith Casting, participating in background roles for television shows.
