Michael Saunders

Michael Saunders is currently a Board Member on the Task Force on Principles for Institutional Partnerships at the University of Waterloo, focusing on developing a framework for partnerships aligned with the institution's values. In addition, Michael serves as Vice President of the Science and Business Ambassador Team and is an active member of both the Finance and Human Practices teams at iGEM. Previously, Michael held the position of Career Fellow at ICON Talent Partners, where efforts were directed toward preparing students for entry-level positions in underrepresented sectors. Further experience includes an Accounting Intern role at MLSE, where responsibilities entailed cash transaction management and tax filing preparations, as well as internships at Baker Tilly in the Caribbean, Turks and Caicos Tourist Board, and Digicel Business TCI. Academic qualifications include pursuing an Honours Science and Business degree at the University of Waterloo, along with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma earned at Trinity College School.
