Job description

A new and exciting opportunity as Business Analyst is now available to join a leading, global digital advice company based in either our London or Edinburgh offices, with a hybrid working model. This role is critical to the successful delivery of internal and external projects. You will be working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects across the organisation.

Working with other business analysts you will report directly to the project manager. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, writing user stories and performing some user acceptance testing. You will need to demonstrate a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.

  • Perform requirements analysis.

  • Document and communicate the results of your efforts.

  • Writing epics and user stories.

  • Use the systems designated for the delivery of your role per the firms PMO.

  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.

  • Lead demonstration sessions with Clients.

  • Perform user acceptance testing.

  • Gathering important information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

  • Effectively communicate your insights and plans to relevant stakeholders.

  • Work closely with clients, delivery and engineering teams and management.

  • Provide leadership, training, coaching and guidance to junior staff.

  • Participate in reviews of business processes and optimisation strategies conducted by Ignition's PMO.

  • Identify and propose areas for improvement and efficiencies internally.

  • Contribute to project plans.

Key Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience working as a business analyst on large, complex projects or programmes.

  • Proficient using business analysis tools, techniques and methodologies across a range of delivery methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience working with financial services technology platforms.

  • Experience working with large financial services institutions.

  • Working in multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Exceptional communication skills.
