Laxmi Kant

Laxmi Kant has a diverse work experience. Laxmi began their career as an Intern at the National Physical Laboratory in 2011. In 2012, they joined the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur as a Student, where they also served as a Teacher Assistant, teaching Embedded Systems. Laxmi completed their M.Tech degree in 2014.

In 2016, Laxmi Kant co-founded mBreath, where they held multiple roles including Chief Executive Officer and Data Scientist. At mBreath, they developed patented products related to human health monitoring using Doppler radar and velostat pressure sensor. Additionally, they worked on real-time human vital parameter estimation using pressure sensor and machine learning algorithms, contributing to a filed patent. Laxmi'stenure at mBreath lasted until November 2019.

In 2019, Laxmi Kant joined IGP.com as a Data Science Manager, responsible for designing and implementing machine learning models for query correction, products search, ranking, user profiling, and revenue impact. Laxmi also played a key role in developing the architecture for data flow, annotation, modeling, and deployment flow. In April 2021, they were promoted to the position of Associate Vice President at IGP.com.

Laxmi Kant completed their Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Computer Science at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 2012 to 2014. After their M.Tech., they further pursued their studies as a Senior Research Scholar in Computer Science at the same institute. In terms of additional certifications, Laxmi Kant has achieved various accolades including the Accenture Innovation Award in November 2017, being recognized as one of the Top 50 Innovative Startups of India by the Government of India in June 2017, and being named one of the Top 30 Technical Innovative Startups of India by Texas Instruments in May 2017. Laxmi was also awarded the title of Best Startup at IIT Kharagpur in 2016-17 and emerged as the winner of the International Business Model Competition, Eureka, held at IIT Mumbai in January 2017.
