Nelson Sumit Gomes is an accomplished marketing professional with extensive experience in the hospitality industry. Currently serving as the Head of Marketing and Communications at IHG Hotels & Resorts since May 2022, Nelson has been recognized as the Head of PR & Marketing Communications of the Year at the BW HOTELIER IHA Awards 2023 and has received multiple accolades, including being a finalist for IHG's Impact Award, IMEA Marketing Person of the Year 2023, and South West Asia Marketing Champion 2023. Previously, Nelson held key positions at Marriott International, where the Strato Club was launched, and at InterContinental Hotels Group, where several awards were achieved, including being shortlisted for the Hotelier Middle East Awards 2020.
