Michael Thomas

Michael Thomas is a Senior Data Scientist at IHI Terrasun Solutions, leading the development of a solar+storage real-time optimizer. Michael also serves as a Senior Control Engineer, responsible for creating, maintaining, and testing solar+storage project sites. Prior to their current roles, Michael worked as a Principal Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation, focusing on missile defense systems. As an Independent Contractor at ExxonMobil, Michael collaborated on a research project that involved creating a data mining tool and utilizing artificial intelligence for fault detection. Michael's educational background includes a Ph.D. and Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree from Vanderbilt University.
