Becky Mueller

Becky Mueller is a Senior Research Engineer at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety since April 2010, where notable contributions include serving as the technical lead for the development of next-generation side-impact and passenger-side small overlap crash tests, as well as the pedestrian crash protection initiative. Prior to this role, Becky held positions as a Research Engineer at the Transportation Research Center Inc., focusing on Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, and as a Research Assistant at Purdue University, evaluating medical bed composites. Early career experience includes roles as a Safety Integration Engineer at General Motors and as an Engineer Assistant in civil/transportation CAD. Becky earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
