Sean Connell

Sean Connell is a Principal Investigator at Biocruces Bizkaia Instituto Investigación Sanitaria / Osasun Ikerketa Institutua since June 2021. Prior to this position, Sean served as Principal Investigator at CIC bioGUNE from January 2013 to June 2022. Sean's research focus is on the structural characterization of translational regulation using cryo-electron microscopy. Sean's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology from the University of Alberta, where they also completed a B.Sc. in Biochemistry. Prior to their current roles, Sean worked as a Post-Doc at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and as a Graduate Student at the University of Alberta.
