Sai Phani Kumar Vangala

Sai Phani Kumar Vangala currently serves as an Assistant Professor at IISER Bhopal since March 2024. Previously, Vangala was a Postdoctoral Researcher at McGill University from October 2023 to February 2024 and at McCormick School of Engineering from January 2021 to August 2023, where research focused on the computational design of circular polymers utilizing Generic Force Fields (GFN-FF) Molecular Dynamics simulations, semi-empirical methods, and DFT calculations to predict thermodynamics and ceiling temperatures of various polymer classes. Vangala's early career includes a Project Associate position at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2014, involving studies on biomass combustion and characterization. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (2014-2020), an MTech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (2012-2014), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University (2007-2011).
