Niyomi Pushpakumara

Niyomi Pushpakumara has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Niyomi started their career as a Management Trainee in Finance at Hayleys Advantis Limited in 2004. Niyomi then worked as an Intern in Treasury at Aitken Spence from 2005 to 2006. In 2006, they joined NDB Investment Bank Limited as an Assistant Vice President in Debt Capital Markets, where they stayed for 12 years until 2018. From 2018 to the present, they have been serving as the Senior Vice President and Head of Debt Capital Markets at CAL. In 2023, they will join Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) as the Senior Vice President of Innovative Finance.

Niyomi Pushpakumara earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance with First Class Honors from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2006. They then completed their Management Accounting qualification (ACMA/CGMA) from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2007. In 2015, Niyomi obtained a Master of Business Administration with Merit from Staffordshire University. They also have additional certifications including being a Level 2 Candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst qualification from the CFA Institute in 2010, and certifications in Impact Investment and Data Science from UNIDO and the Asia Pacific Institute of Digital Marketing, respectively.
