Carlos Rene

Carlos Rene has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2011. In 2011, they founded SETI, providing specialized enterprise workflows, CMS and business intelligence solutions to the Honduran market. In 2013, they worked as a Software Engineer at Intertec International, supporting the creation of new enterprise applications and automation workflows to increase business operation efficiency. From 2016-2017, they were the CEO, Technical Product Manager, and Software Architect at Xourse, where they created an Ethereum Smart Contracts platform and provided consulting and architecture design for a Cognitiva partner. In 2018, they were the CEO, Technical Product Manager, and Blockchain Architect at Blocksize, where they recruited the team, designed the architecture and lead the successful deployment of a blockchain based exchange. In 2019, they were the Co-Founder of IKA Platform, a business process automation platform via artificial intelligence. In 2020, they were a Technical Project Manager at Ternio. Currently, they are a Technical Product Manager at Input Output (IOHK) and the Founder, CEO, and CTO of DEGA, a podcast and API to integrate blockchain features.

Carlos Rene attended the Universidad Católica de Honduras 'Nuestra Señora Reina de la Paz' from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science.
