Emil Georgiev

Emil Georgiev has extensive work experience in design thinking, innovation management, and process improvement. Emil currently holds the position of Associate Vice President for Design Thinking at IKS Health, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at GE Healthcare for nearly two decades, where they held various roles including Design Architect, Senior Design Thinking Strategist, Senior Design Researcher, and Six Sigma Black Belt. At GE Plastics, prior to their time at GE Healthcare, they worked as a Six Sigma Consultant, Product Developer, and Process Chemist. Overall, Emil has a strong background in design thinking, research, and process improvement in the healthcare and plastics industries.

Emil Georgiev obtained a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in the years 1982 to 1987. Emil further pursued their education at the same university and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Organometallic Chemistry from 1987 to 1991.
