Jana Sasse

Jana Sasse is a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at the Institut für Kunststoffverarbeitung (IKV) in Industrie und Handwerk an der RWTH Aachen since October 2020, leading the research group on extrusion dies and computational engineering. Responsibilities include managing publically funded projects, supervising student research, teaching classes on computational plastics and rheology, and advancing the OpenFOAM code base. Research interests focus on CFD-based design and optimization of extrusion dies, development of adjoint optimization algorithms, additive manufacturing, and digitalization in industry. Previous experience includes roles at the Institut für Angewandte Medizintechnik and enmodes GmbH, with a strong foundation in computational simulations. Jana Sasse is currently pursuing a doctorate in engineering at RWTH Aachen University, following a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computational Engineering Science from the same institution.
