Rishi Taparia

Rishi Taparia is an accomplished engineering professional with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Currently serving as a Technical Advisor for Illini Formula Electric since January 2019, Rishi holds extensive experience in mentorship and leadership roles, having been the mechanical president and head mentor for EB FIRST's FRC team, Team Astraea, from September 2016 to September 2022. Rishi's internship roles include significant contributions at Space Exploration Technologies Inc. as a Silicon Packaging R&D Intern, and at FW Murphy Production Controls as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, where Rishi focused on production process improvement and quality management system documentation. Rishi's early experiences in manufacturing engineering internships at Avionic Instruments, as well as participation in RoboCup Junior robotics competitions, further showcase a strong foundation in engineering and robotics. Additionally, Rishi served as a soccer referee for youth games, demonstrating a commitment to community involvement.
