Zuka'a Joudeh is the daughter of immigrants from Deir Yassin, Palestine. They fight for justice and social equity for all people in Illinois. Having participated in various roles that include working as a teacher, urban planner, and organizer, Zuka'a continues to work with local organizations and nonprofits to maximize the democratic and human rights of marginalized communities in the US and abroad. Zuka'a graduated a summa cum laude from the University of Illinois-Chicago with a BA in Political Science and Germanic Studies, and a minor in Public Policy. Outside of work, they like to travel, read, and learn new languages.
