Jesus Mejia

Jesus Mejia has been working in the art and museum industry since 2006. Jesus began their career as a Transportation Security Officer at the US Department of Homeland Security in 2006. In 2009, they became a Freelance Preparator, working as an Art Handler and Exhibitions Preparator. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Furniture Restoration Shop Manager at Assemblage. Jesus then moved on to The Conservation Center, where they worked as an Art Handler from 2014 to 2016. Since 2016, they have been the Collections Manager at the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center.

Jesus Mejia attended the University of Illinois Chicago from 2002 to 2004. Jesus then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Art at Columbia College Chicago, graduating in 2009 with a degree in Studio Arts.
