Leah Rauch has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. Leah began their career as an Instructor at Illinois State University, teaching undergraduates THE 152: Experiencing Theatre. In 2009, they interned at the Art Institute of Chicago in the Ryerson and Burnham Libraries Archives, researching, compiling, and entering information into the Historic Architecture and Landscape Image Collection. In 2014, they interned at Yad Vashem, and in 2016 they were an English Instructor at the Berlitz Corporation. In 2017, they worked as an Educator/Guide at Gedenkstätte und Museum Sachsenhausen. From 2018-2021, they worked at CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange as Adjunct Faculty for HIST 3006: Jewish in Germany - Migration, Integration, and Identity and HIST 3005: Holocaust Studies. Most recently, they have been the Director of Education at the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center.
Leah Rauch received their Master of Arts degree in Holocaust Studies from the University of Haifa in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Theatre Literature, History and Criticism from Illinois State University in 2008. In addition, they have obtained two certifications: an Integrationskurs from the Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge in 2014, and a Hebrew Ulpan from the State of Israel, Ministry of Education in 2010.
