Erin Carney

Erin Carney currently serves as an Editor and Communications Specialist for the Illinois State Senate Democratic Caucus since July 2022, following a role as Marketing, Communications & Advocacy Coordinator at Live4Lali from July 2021 to July 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Campaign Manager for Mitchell Esslinger for State Representative IL-102, Digital Outreach Intern for Partners of Refugees in Illinois Disability Employment, and Press Intern at the Office of U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth. Additionally, Erin worked as a Behavior Therapist at The Center for Autism and Related Disorders, LLC, and provided support as an Inclusion Aide at the Park District of Oak Park. Early career roles at the West Suburban Special Recreation Association included Swim Instructor, Supervisor, and Recreation Leader. Erin holds a degree in Disability and Human Development from the University of Illinois Chicago, complemented by studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
