Michael Shay

Michael Shay is an accomplished technology leader currently serving as the Chief Information Officer for the Illinois Tollway since July 2022, focusing on innovation and technological advancement. Prior to this role, Michael was the ICT Director for Will County, Illinois, from June 2000 to July 2022, where responsibilities included overseeing Real Estate and Finance Systems, Networking, and Support Services. In addition, Michael played a crucial role in re-establishing the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) program and led significant projects such as the Land Resource Management Plan and the 2020 Transportation Framework Plan. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University Bloomington, completed between 1988 and 1993.
