Emily Beebe

Emily Beebe is a highly experienced scientific professional with a strong background in protein purification and enzyme development. Currently serving as Manager of Scientific Research at Illumina since May 2017, Emily leads a team focused on creating robust purification processes for high-quality enzymes. Prior roles include Assistant Scientist at the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center, where enzyme characterization and composite development were key responsibilities, and Assistant Scientist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specializing in the production of recombinant eukaryotic proteins. Emily's previous experience as a Senior Scientist at Primorigen Biosciences involved bioinformatics and protein purification for medical applications. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a postdoctoral fellowship in Bacteriology, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as a BS in Molecular and Cell Biology from Penn State University.
