Ina Deras

Ina Deras is an accomplished scientific professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology and diagnostics sectors. Currently serving as Associate Principal Scientist at Illumina since February 2015, Ina has played key leadership roles in the development and launch of significant genomic profiling products for cancer, including the TruSight Oncology 500. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Staff Scientist at Invivoscribe, Inc., where Ina led the design verification of an FDA-approved companion diagnostic assay, and as Staff Scientist at Gen-Probe Incorporated, focusing on the development of a pioneering urine-based prostate cancer biomarker test. Earlier roles also include postdoctoral research at Roche Diagnostics, specializing in HIV protease inhibitor bioconjugates. Ina holds a Ph.D. in Bioorganic Chemistry from Purdue University and completed postdoctoral studies at The Johns Hopkins University.
