Martin Pearce

Martin Pearce is a highly experienced scientist with a strong focus on molecular and cellular biology, particularly in cancer research. Presently serving as Associate Principal Scientist at Sygnature Discovery since October 2020, Martin has progressed through various roles, including Lead Scientist and Senior Scientist. Prior to this, a brief tenure as Senior Cell Biologist at Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute was cut short due to pandemic-related funding challenges. Martin earned a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Oregon State University, where research concentrated on cancer therapeutic resistance mechanisms and the development of new treatment strategies for therapy-resistant triple negative breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. Additionally, Martin has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Oregon State University, and as a Research Scholar at East Carolina University, enhancing skills in advanced lab techniques and project management. Education includes a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of the West of England.
