Jacob Baltzer

Jacob Baltzer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sales leadership within the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as Director - Commercial Lead for Europe NORTH at Illumina since April 2009, Jacob leads a team of 14 Sales Specialists across EMEA, focusing on the sales of Illumina's Library Preparation and Informatics product portfolio. Prior to this role, Jacob was a Senior District Manager at Illumina, managing Field Sales & Specialist Teams across Nordic, Benelux, and EMEA distributors. Earlier experience includes serving as National Sales Manager for QIAGEN Nordic from May 2005 to March 2009 and as Nordic Sales Manager at Applied Biosystems from September 1998 to April 2004, overseeing various sales teams. Jacob holds a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen, earned between 1986 and 1992.
