Joel Geoghegan

Joel Geoghegan is a seasoned professional in the field of oncology and biotechnology, currently serving as the Business Unit Manager for Oncology at Illumina since October 2018, where the focus is on driving oncology strategies across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia to enhance precision medicine for cancer patients. Prior to this role, Joel held positions such as Team Leader Oncology at the ACRF Cancer Genomics Facility from March 2012 to October 2018 and held various roles including R&D Senior Scientist and R&D Scientist at Roche NimbleGen Inc. between March 2008 and February 2012. Joel began their career as an R&D Technician at NimbleGen Systems, Inc., and worked as a Research Technician at SAIC, Inc. Joel earned a Master's degree in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from SUNY Geneseo.
