Keerthana K. serves as a Senior Scientist in the Protein Engineering Group at Illumina since August 2022. Prior to this role, Keerthana worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arizona from August 2017 to August 2022, focusing on dissertation work in chemical biology strategies and holding a position as a teaching assistant, where excellence in teaching earned the title of Distinguished TA. Previous research experience includes a role at Shiv Nadar University, where work involved elucidating mechanisms of oxidative DNA damage and synthesizing antileishmanial compounds. Keerthana holds a PhD in Biological Chemistry with a minor in Science Communication from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Shiv Nadar University.
