Pabodha Hettige

Pabodha Hettige is a Senior Scientist at Illumina since July 2024, previously having held senior scientist and scientist roles at Fluent BioSciences Inc. from April 2021 to July 2024, where extensive engagement in scRNA-seq assay optimization took place and a Services division was developed to provide technical expertise for scRNA-seq applications. Pabodha's earlier experience includes roles as Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from September 2015 to March 2021, as well as a Graduate Technical Intern at the NGS and Genomics Core within the same institution. Teaching experience also includes a position as Teaching Assistant at the University of Colombo from February 2014 to February 2015. Pabodha holds a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts Lowell (2015-2021) and a Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics from the University of Colombo (2009-2014). High school education was completed at Maliyadeva Girls' School, focusing on Biological Sciences.
