Shuang Liu is a Senior Systems Integration Scientist at Illumina since March 2022, specializing in the Design Validation of gene sequencing products, with extensive knowledge of Next-Generation Sequencing technologies and applications. Prior experience includes working as an Associate Scientist, Research Associate II, and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Delaware from 2013 to 2019, focusing on the design and synthesis of hydrogels for salivary gland regeneration and peptide design. Previous roles as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University and Yale University involved the design of peptide-based nanoprobes for cancer applications and biodegradable polymeric nanoparticles for autoimmune disease treatment, respectively. Initial research experience includes synthesizing glycoproteins at the University of Delaware and synthesizing heteroaromatic polymers at Zhejiang University.
