Stanley Hong

Stanley Hong is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the biotechnology industry, currently serving as Vice President and Distinguished Engineer at Illumina since March 2009. Hong has held various leadership roles within Illumina, including Senior Director, Advanced Engineering, and Director, Advanced Engineering. Prior to Illumina, Hong was the Chief Technology Officer at LightSpeed Genomics from 2006 to early 2009. Academic credentials include a Ph.D., M.Eng., and S.B. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Hong also worked as a Postdoctoral Associate from 2004 to 2006.
