Soroosh Demooei

Soroosh Demooei is currently a Venture Capital Fellow at Illuminate Ventures and an MBA Partner at 99 Tartans, an angel investment syndicate focused on Carnegie Mellon startups. Additionally, Soroosh is interning in venture capital and private equity investment at Woodland Management. Previous experience includes serving as Director of Engineering and Senior Software Engineer at RIGZ, LLC, and Lead Software Engineer at Worklab.io, Inc., where financial statements and APIs were developed using advanced data tools. Soroosh also worked as a Software Engineer at IBM, contributing to the AI-Openscale service, and gained early experience as a Full Stack Developer Intern at Breathe California of the Bay Area. Currently pursuing dual master's degrees in Computer Software Engineering and Business Administration at Carnegie Mellon University, Soroosh holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
