Director, 6-12 Professional Learning Design at Illustrative Mathematics

Jennifer Wilson began their work experience in 1996 as a Math Teacher at Northwest Rankin High School. Jennifer then joined the Mississippi Council of Teachers of Mathematics in the same year and served as the Treasurer until September 2012. In 2017, they joined Illustrative Mathematics as the Lead Designer for 6-12 Professional Learning. From November 2021 to the present, they have been working as the Director of 6-12 Professional Learning Design at Illustrative Mathematics.

Jennifer Wilson began their education journey at Mississippi College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from 1990 to 1993. Jennifer later pursued a Master of Science in Mathematics at the same institution from 2003 to 2005. Finally, Jennifer completed their Doctor of Education degree in Secondary Mathematics Education at the University of Mississippi from 2016 to 2019.

In addition to their degrees, Jennifer Wilson holds certifications in their field. Jennifer became a National Board Certified Teacher through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, renewing their certification through Maintenance of Certification (MOC) in November 1999. Jennifer was also granted the title of NBCT by NBPTS, although the specific dates of obtaining this certification are not provided.
