For over thirty years Ilmor has been best known for designing, developing and manufacturing high performance race engines for Formula 1 and IndyCar.

Racing remains the core part of our business today and Ilmor acts as a consultant for motorsport clients from all forms of racing. However, the business is now using its racing expertise in other areas such as OEM automotive, electrification, defence and marine.

Our approach can also be individually tailored from complete engines or eMotors, down to single components.

Ilmor has a dedicated Advanced Projects group to cover this area of the business and so with our state-of-the-art facility and highly skilled team we are able to turn our hand to any customer powertrain project and indeed virtually any mechanical engineering application.
