Helena Amaral, JD, MS LR HR, SPHR, currently serves as Associate General Counsel at IMA Financial Group, Inc., since March 2025, following a tenure as VP of Legal and Human Resources at Wallace Welch & Willingham. With a strong focus on enhancing HR practices, risk mitigation, and compliance, Helena has successfully led initiatives across various organizations. Prior roles include Director of People and Culture at Gulfstream Property & Casualty Insurance and HR Consultant/Employment Attorney at Downyok Law Firm, where Helena provided legal guidance on employment laws and litigated disputes. Helena began professional career as Assistant State Attorney in the 20th Judicial Circuit of Florida. Holding a JD from Roger Williams University School of Law and an MS in Human Resources & Labor Relations from the University of Rhode Island, Helena is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
