Shelly Vela

Shelly Vela has over 17 years of work experience, starting in 2004 at Shelly Stromboe DDS as an RDA. In this role, they handled various dental procedures, exposed dental diagnostic x-rays, recorded treatment information, and provided postoperative instructions.

In 2009, Shelly joined Onsite Health as an IC RDA and later became a Practice Manager at Goodfellow Airforce Base, where they organized large-scale dental events and managed all dental staff.

In 2011, they became the Client Relations Manager for the PA Army National Guard at Onsite Health, planning and facilitating medical and dental events for soldiers, organizing travel, supplies, and staff.

In 2014, Shelly joined The IMA Group as a Lead MA/Operations Coordinator and later became an Operations Supervisor of PA, overseeing operations for multiple offices and providing feedback and direction for providers and staff.

Since then, they have held roles such as Associate Director of Operations, Director of Operations, Senior Director of Operations, and Associate Vice President of Operations at The IMA Group, before currently serving as the Vice President of VA Operations.

Shelly Vela obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Management from Arizona State University in the year 2021. Prior to that, they attended San Antonio College of Medical and Dental Assistants in 2003, where they received a Registered Dental Assistant certification. In 1998, they completed an Associates degree in Business Administration and Management from Temple College. Shelly Vela earned their high school diploma in college prep from Refugio High School in 1997. Shelly also holds a certification as an Occupational Hearing Conservationist (OHC), which they obtained in April 2013 from the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation.
