Michael Taylor has a wealth of experience in the field of computer vision and machine learning. Michael began their career in 2011 as a Research Assistant at the University of Liverpool and a Teaching Assistant at the University of Manchester. Michael then went on to pursue a PhD in Computer Vision-based research at the University of Manchester, exploring and developing new methodologies for skin segmentation and face detection. In 2016, they became a Software Engineer at Openshadow, where they developed real-time computer vision algorithms for immersive augmented reality experiences on mobile platforms, implemented third-party technology for face-tracking problems, and applied machine learning techniques to object detection problems. Finally, in 2017, they became a Research Engineer at Image Metrics.
Michael Taylor attended the University of Liverpool from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering.
